The Terrace Grill Participates in the 2011 Go Texan Restaurant Round-up
Saturday, July 30, 2011
Well, if you need another reason to go out to eat, this week is the 2011 Go Texan Restaurant Round-up. Spanning July 25th through the 31st, the Roundup is meant to support local restaurants, products and food banks. While “celebrating the menus of the Lone Star State,” participating members of the Texas Department of Agriculture’s GO TEXAN Restaurant Program serve special Texas menu items and many contribute a portion of the week’s proceeds to food banks across the state.
As you know, The Terrace Grill is dedicated to serving fresh local fare as much as possible. Locally grown organic zucchini, squash, purple-hulled peas, 1015 sweet Texas onions, black diamond watermelon, Pecos cantaloupe, elk, venison, wild boar and our very own Riven Rock beef have all made appearances on our menu. We’re proud members of the Go Texan program and not only support locally grown food but the local wineries in the area. We carry Becker Vineyard wines, as well as those of our neighbors, Singing Water Vineyards and Bending Branch Winery.
A portion of dining proceeds will go to benefit the County Food Bank of Comfort. If you would like to make reservations this weekend, please call 830.995.4045.
