Guadalupe River Access at Riven Rock Ranch

Monday, June 20, 2011

Summer is just one of those seasons that takes you back to your childhood and there's nothing like fishing to remind you of days spent at summer camp or grandma's house or just lazy days out on your own looking for whatever adventures or trouble (as your parents called it) the day brought.
Riven Rock Ranch's Guadalupe River access is the perfect place to relive childhood nostalgia or engage in a newfound favorite pastime. We enjoy sitting under enormous cypress trees and feeling small again. The river is full of Guadalupe and large-mouth bass, channel and blue catfish and the ever sporting perch.
Whether it's to embrace childhood memories or to teach the kiddos that there's life beyond their cell phones and iPads we invite all our guests to visit the river and enjoy a number of other different aquatic activities including kayaking, canoeing tubing or just taking a dip in the river. Complete with a dock to put-in your canoe or kayak and a picnic table to enjoy sun and fresh Texas Hill Country air, there's really no reason to surface until it's time to sleep in your cottage. How do you know when it's time to come in for the night? That's easy, when you can see the fireflies' soft incandescence around you and not where you're stepping.
