The Texas Hill Country is known for green hills and valleys, blooming wildflowers, clean, fresh air, and marrying a classic western mindset with a thriving food and wine culture. What better place to get away with the family for spring break? There are a variety of interesting events taking place during March that make great family outings. Here are our picks for must-see events:
Twin Elms Ranch Rodeo, Bandera
March 9, 16, 28
Experience a slice of Americana at Twin Elm Guest Ranch. A stop at their rodeo is a must on your way through the cowboy capitol of the world. The rodeo begins on Friday night at 8pm and includes bull riding, barrel racing, calf roping, shoot doggin', mutton bustin', team roping and the calf scramble. For tickets or more information, please call (830)796-3628 or visit www.twinelmranch.com.
Wings Over Boerne, Boerne
March 3, 10, 17, 24, 31

When was the last time you felt the wind of a hawk's wing as it passed over your head? Or witnessed the powerful silent beauty of a Great Horned Owl, as it stared through huge yellow eyes at you? Have you ever seen a Golden Eagle from only a few feet away?
Last Chance Forever is a non-profit organization dedicated to the rehabilitation and release of sick, injured and orphaned hawks, falcons, eagles, owls and vultures. For more information, please call (830)249-7277 or visit www.visitboerne.org.
