The Pavilion & Gazebo

Built to seamlessly meld with the outdoors, as is the rest of the Ranch, our wedding pavilion and gazebo are the stars of this post. Completed in 2008, this venue has been the setting for many weddings and other family events. Constructed from rock quarried from the Ranch, the pavilion is the perfect venue for an outdoor event. Looking up is a visual feast. Douglas fir and cedar beams are arranged in an original design created by Chris Havens and accented by iron chandelier fixtures. A fire in the outdoor fireplace is the perfect addition to a fall wedding. Strategically located to maximize stunning Hill Country sunsets, the pavilion is located near our indoor facility used frequently for post-ceremony cocktails or dinner. Further along the ridge and enjoying the same panoramic views, La Cocina, which holds 60-70 people, is the perfect location to hold a rehearsal dinner. Weddings at Riven Rock Ranch are truly as all-inclusive as anyone would like them to be.
What is not evident from this much-photographed location is sense of peace standing high above the surrounding land. Looking out from the vast and fertile farmland of the Guadalupe Valley, only whispers of the breeze reach your ears. It’s truly a peaceful and serene place to hold a wedding.

New Years Eve 2010
What an awesome evening! Our first step on the property brought warmness to our hearts. From the drive up the driveway to the pavilion, every element touched us. No words can describe the amazing feeling the energy that this property and its cordial staff gave us. As a builder, I trully recognized what you have created. It is not only what you created on the property, but every element from the booking to the final good night was an enjoyable pleasure. Every person helped create the perfect atmosphere. Chris, you and your wife are amazing, not only were you there making sure everything was perfect, which it was, you could also see that this is a dream coming true for the two of you. Thank you both so much for creating and sharing this place that not only has touched your hearts, but you gave us the opportunity for it to touch our hearts also.
